On weekdays I ride a tricycle to the office (The Scenic Route has the details). On Sundays I take the little green car out with the top down and drive nowhere in particular, at a speed that lets me read every mailbox.
The light at Pond Road turned red, and I stopped well behind the line. A yellow duck stepped off the curb. He looked left, then right, then left again, as he was taught, and began to cross. I kept both hands on the wheel.
The light turned green while the duck was still in the middle of the lane. Behind me a man in a hurry tapped his horn, and I gave him a small wave in the mirror. There is no rush on a Sunday. As far as I know there has never been one, and I have been out on a great many Sundays.
A funny driving shirt for anyone who stops for ducks, and a fitting gift for the person who has been called a Sunday driver and decided to own it.
