It is a two-night trip, and I have packed for it with the care of a man crossing an ocean.
The suitcase is brown leather with four little wheels, each of which goes its own way. Inside are two suits, in case one of them is the wrong suit, a spare tie for each, an umbrella, a second umbrella in case of the first, and two pairs of good shoes, which I carry rather than wear, to keep them good.
I pull it along at a purposeful stride, leaning forward slightly, since it weighs a bit more than I do. Airline staff have asked whether I would like to check it. I would not. A suitcase out of your sight is a suitcase in somebody else's hands, and that is how a man ends up in Cleveland in another man's tie.
A funny travel shirt for anyone who has had to sit on a suitcase to close it. A good gift for a frequent flyer, or for a chronic overpacker before the next trip.
